“For good ideas and true innovation, you need human interaction, conflict, argument and debate.”
Conflicting views and contrasting ideas are the essence of all great debates. The creative clash of ideas brings forth the innovative thoughts of young minds that touch many lives. Debate facilitates exchange of ideas and broadens one’s perspective.
With this aim in mind, we invite your school to participate in the Prof. Amarnath Kakkar Memorial Debate Competition to be held on Saturday, 09 Nov. 2019.
This annual debate competition is for the students of classes X to XII. The topic for this year’s debate is “Freedom is a myth”. There will be two participants from each school accompanied by one teacher. We also welcome a group of eight students to cheer their teams. The schools are requested to join us for lunch after the programme.
The prizes will be as follows: In addition, there will be:
First Prize (For): Rs. 5100 a. Winner’s Trophy and a certificate
First Prize (Against) Rs. 5100 b. 1st Runners Up Trophy and a certificate
Second Prize: Rs. 3100 c. 2nd Runners Up Trophy and a certificate
Third Prize: Rs. 2100
Consolation Prize: Rs. 1100
Best Interjection: Rs. 500
Best answer: Rs. 500
